Be part of Brahms’ A German Requiem this spring.
You are invited to audition to sing in the Eureka Symphony chorus, to be accompanied by the Eureka Symphony performing Brahms’ A German Requiem. The Requiem for Humanity concert is May 29 & 30, 2026, at the Arkley Center for Performing Arts. This requiem stands as one of classical music’s most moving tributes to life, loss and the comfort we find in one another.
Auditions will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Eureka on Saturday December 6, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday December 7, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, January 17 and 18, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Auditions will be conducted by Conductor and Artistic Director Carol Jacobson and David Powell.
Rehearsals begin on January 26th and repeat every Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. through May 11 (location to be confirmed). Following that, there will be two rehearsals with the full Symphony on Tuesday May 12 and 19, then dress rehearsals at the Arkley Center on Wednesday and Thursday, May 27 and 28.
Singers from all backgrounds are encouraged to audition but should be prepared to meet the specific requirements on this page and be able to read music. Those who have previously sung in this chorus do not need to re-audition.
