The first place winner will receive an award of $200, second place winner would be awarded $100.
The Eureka Symphony will be holding auditions for its Young Artist Showcase on November 18, 2023. One to two young artists will be selected to play with the symphony in the Distinctive Voices concert set at the Arkley Center for the Performing Arts on April 12 & 13, 2024, with the first-place winner also performing at the Eureka Symphony’s day-time Schools to Symphony performances for local schoolchildren on April 11, 2024.
Auditions will be held at Cal Poly Humboldt, Music B Building, Room 205 on Saturday, November 18, 2024 starting at noon and going no later than 5:00 p.m., depending on number of applicants. Winners will be expected to rehearse with the Eureka Symphony at the Arkley Center on the evenings of April 9 & 10, 2024, as well as other rehearsals TBD.
